Roy Earle (Jack Palance) is an aging bank robber, fresh out of prison and not yet ready to retire. He has one last job in mind, a heist at a resort hotel, and a crew that includes Babe Kossuck (Lee Marvin) and Chico (Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez). Stuart Heisler shoots it in CinemaScope and Warnercolor, giving a gangster picture a wide, bright frame.
