Ruth Kimke (Melanie Lynskey) is a nursing assistant worn down by the people around her, and when burglars take her laptop and her grandmother's silver, she decides to find them herself. She enlists her neighbor Tony (Elijah Wood), a loud, odd man who sets his mind to the hunt as well. Macon Blair sends them after a pack of degenerate criminals, and the two are soon dangerously out of their depth.
