I Don't Want to Be a Man

Ossi (Ossi Oswalda) is a restless teenager who has had enough of the strict guardian, Counsellor Brockmüller (Ferry Sikla), who tells her what to do. She puts on a man's clothes so she can go out and enjoy herself, and she soon finds the disguise has rules she never learned. Ernst Lubitsch builds the comedy on a plain question of who is allowed to have a good time and who gets told to sit still.
