I Don't Want to Sleep Alone

Rawang (Norman Atun), a Bangladeshi migrant living in terrible conditions, finds a Chinese man beaten and left in the street and wants only to help him. He takes the stranger Hsiao-Kang (Lee Kang-sheng) in and nurses him on a mattress he found. Tsai Ming-liang follows the two of them as Hsiao-Kang heals and the waitress Chyi (Chen Shiang-Chyi) enters, and three people hover around the same bed.
