I Love You, I Love You Not

The stories Nana (Jeanne Moreau) tells her granddaughter Daisy (Claire Danes) keep sliding between two lives, one in Nazi Germany and one in present-day New York. Billy Hopkins sets the older girl's story, with Daisy playing her too, against Daisy's first romance with Ethan (Jude Law), a boy at her school. Daisy listens, falls in love, and has to work out what to do with a grandmother's grief while her own feelings are only starting.
