“The Conman who wouldn't go straight.”

Steven Russell (Jim Carrey) wants an ordinary life: church organist, police officer, husband to Debbie (Leslie Mann). After a car accident he decides to live as the man he is, and cons and fraud pay for the flashy new life. Directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra build it around his love for Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor), a soft-spoken inmate he meets in prison.
