“They're as straight as can be, but don't tell anyone.”

Chuck Levine (Adam Sandler) and Larry Valentine (Kevin James) are New York firefighters who trust each other completely. When Larry, a widower with two kids, needs domestic partner benefits to protect them, Chuck agrees to pose as his lover. Dennis Dugan sends them into a staged marriage and a city inspector's questions, where the pretending is the easy part and the real friendship is what has to hold.
