I Only Want You to Love Me

Peter Trepper (Vitus Zeplichal) grew up in the years of the German economic miracle with parents who gave him little affection, and he wants only one thing from the people around him: to be loved. Having learned that love is bought, he pays for it with generous presents to his family and to his wife, Erika (Elke Aberle). Fassbinder made this for television, and everything in it depends on whether Peter can go on paying.
