I taket lyser stjärnorna

Jenna (Josefine Mattsson) is a young teenager in Sweden, caught between childhood and growing up, while her mother Liv (Annika Hallin) is dying of cancer. She cannot say she is afraid, so she acts in ways no one expects, and Lisa Siwe follows her through school and home. Her friend Ullis (Mika Berndtsdotter Ahlen) stays close, and Jenna's love for her mother is sharpened by everything she cannot say to her.
