I, the Jury

“The cops, the mob, the broads, everyone's after Hammer!”

In New York in 1982, Vietnam veteran and private detective Mike Hammer (Armand Assante) learns that his best friend Jack Williams has been murdered. Hammer makes the case his own, working it with his secretary Velda (Laurene Landon) while Police Chief Pat Chambers half helps and half stands in his way. Richard T. Heffron's film is built around what Hammer owes Jack and how far Velda will follow him to settle it.
