I Told You So

Rome is sweltering at fifty degrees Celsius in January when Gianna (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) and her circle begin to fray under the heat. Bill (Danny Huston), Pupa (Valeria Golino), Riccardo (Riccardo Scamarcio), and Caterina (Alba Rohrwacher) move through the sun-bleached city, each carrying their own unraveling. Elkann's film suggests that some anxieties are personal and some are written into the air itself, indistinguishable once the temperature rises.
