In 1948, Tom Quinn (Don Castle), a dancer, is arrested for a murder after his shoe prints are found at the scene. William Nigh follows his wife Ann (Elyse Knox) as she works through the clues alone, while Inspector Clint Judd (Regis Toomey) builds his case against Tom. Tom waits in his cell, his shoes on the floor in front of him.
