A packed tour bus climbs the Road to the Sky, a 12,000-foot Himalayan route with a drop on one side, and Mike McCann (Liam Neeson) is aboard with his late brother's ashes, bound for Everest. Jonathan Hensleigh puts him beside a mountain guide, Dhani Yangchen (Fan Bingbing), when a group of mercenaries stops the bus. If McCann fails, a busload of travelers and the villagers' homeland pay for it.
