Ice Station Zebra

“An American nuclear sub... A sky full of Russian paratroopers... A race for the secret of Ice Station Zebra!”

At the height of the Cold War, a British research camp called Ice Station Zebra sends out distress signals from the Arctic ice, then goes silent. The atomic submarine Tigerfish, under Cdr. James Ferraday (Rock Hudson), is sent north to reach it, and a Soviet spy satellite is coming down somewhere near the station. Director John Sturges puts the crew in a sealed hull, with the ice above and the station still unreached.
