If Beale Street Could Talk

“Trust Love All The Way”

Tish Rivers (KiKi Layne) is pregnant, and the man she loves, Alonzo "Fonny" Hunt (Stephan James), sits in jail for a crime he did not commit. Her mother Sharon (Regina King) and the rest of her family start working to clear his name before the baby comes. Barry Jenkins, adapting James Baldwin's novel, keeps Tish and Fonny face to face through the glass of a visiting room.
