Argentina in the 1990s is where Gilda (Natalia Oreiro) lives a quiet life as a mother and schoolteacher, one that has little to do with the tropical music she loves. Lorena Muñoz follows her from her teenage years (Ángela Torres) into a singing career that takes off, with Javier Drolas as Toti Giménez beside her. Every step upward puts more on the line: her family, her name, and the ordinary life she walked away from.
