I'm Gonna Git You Sucka

“It's tough to be a black hero.”

Jack Spade (Keenen Ivory Wayans) comes home from the army to his old neighborhood and learns his brother June Bug is dead, killed by the money and muscle of a crimelord called Mr. Big. Jack goes looking for John Slade (Bernie Casey), the hero he worshipped as a kid, and for the old fighters who once ran bad guys off these streets. Wayans, directing for the first time, plays all of it straight-faced, and Jack keeps his eyes on one thing, getting even for June Bug.
