Pierre Durois (Pierre Richard) teaches math at an all-girls high school, a solemn, clumsy man who takes his lessons far more seriously than his students do. His quiet routine breaks apart when he crosses paths with the British actress Jackie Logan (Jane Birkin) and the photographers who trail her everywhere, and he is soon taken for her lover. Claude Zidi lets the gags pile up in rough, grainy 70s frames and plays the chaos completely deadpan.
