Imaginary Heroes

“People are never who they seem to be.”

In a suburban home, the Travis family loses Matt (Kip Pardue), the handsome, popular son and the best swimmer at his school, to suicide, and nobody can say why. Dan Harris follows the year that comes after, with Sandy (Sigourney Weaver), Ben (Jeff Daniels) and the younger son Tim (Emile Hirsch) each grieving in separate rooms. The film is about how a family goes on living with a death it cannot explain.
