“Wanted By Two Women! One For Love! One For Murder!”

Someone tried to kill the auto magnate Walter Williams (Brian Donlevy), and he lets everyone believe the attempt worked. His wife Irene (Helen Walker) is the one who has to answer for it, while Lieutenant Quincy (Charles Coburn) works the case. Arthur Lubin shot it entirely around Northern California, and Walter stays out of sight, watching and waiting, while the woman he left behind is made to pay for his silence.
