In a World...

“Speak up and let your voice be heard”

Carol Solomon (Lake Bell) coaches actors on their accents, records the odd voice-over, and still sleeps in her father's house when the trailer-voice business turns her way. Sam Sotto (Fred Melamed), her father, is the king of movie-trailer narration, and he keeps telling her she has no future in it. Lake Bell lets the story run on dysfunction and ambition, and the picture stays on Carol, a microphone hanging in front of her.
