In Another Country

A young woman and her mother have fled to the seaside town of Mohang to escape their debts, and to calm her nerves she begins writing a short film. In it, three women named Anne (Isabelle Huppert) arrive in turn at the same small hotel by the foreshore, where the owner's daughter helps them and a lifeguard (Yu Jun-sang) walks the beach. Hong Sang-soo repeats the town, the people and the meetings, so that a single person can seem like three.
