In Her Shoes

“Friends. Rivals. Sisters.”

Maggie Feller (Cameron Diaz) wants a place to sleep and nobody asking her to grow up, so when her father and stepmother put her out, she lands with her sister Rose (Toni Collette), a Philadelphia lawyer. Curtis Hanson lets the two crowd each other in small apartments, until Rose shuts the door on her too. Then a grandmother neither knew existed (Shirley MacLaine) appears, and the sisters have to sit across from each other and say what they have been holding back.
