In Her Skin

“She hated her own life, so she took someone else's.”

Rachel Barber (Kate Bell), fifteen, wants to be a ballerina, and her parents, Mr. Barber (Guy Pearce) and Mrs. Barber (Miranda Otto), stand behind her without reservation. When she goes missing on March 1, 1999, the family's search leads toward the Reids, neighbours with a daughter, Caroline (Ruth Bradley), and a father, Mr. Reid (Sam Neill). Simone North works from the true story of a girl who vanished, and of how long a family can hold on to hope.
