In My Skin

“Some truths cut deep.”

Esther (Marina de Van) is a young woman with a steady job and a boyfriend, Vincent (Laurent Lucas), until she gashes her leg badly at a party and barely notices. Marina de Van wrote and directed the film and plays Esther herself, letting the wound pull her attention away from everything else. Her relationship with the people around her thins as her private fixation on her own body takes up more of her.
