In Old Arizona

(1928)Directed by Irving Cummings, Raoul Walsh95 minWestern
“The first all-talking sound-on-film feature.”

Stagecoach holdups keep happening across the Arizona territory, and the man behind them is the Cisco Kid (Warner Baxter), a bandit who spends what he takes on the woman he loves, Tonia Maria (Dorothy Burgess). Sergeant Mickey Dunn (Edmund Lowe) rides out after him, and the reward on the Kid's head, dead or alive, is large. Irving Cummings and Raoul Walsh took the camera outdoors with sound, so the desert is heard as well as seen.
