In Syria

Oum Yazan (Hiam Abbass) keeps her family shut inside a Damascus apartment while war rages in the streets and a sniper watches the building from outside. Halima (Diamand Abou Abboud), Delhani (Juliette Navis) and Samir (Moustapha Al Kar) share the cramped rooms with her, and no one goes near the windows. Philippe Van Leeuw keeps the camera inside the walls, so the war reaches us only as sound.
