In the Army Now
“Sleep tight, America! The safety of the free world rests in his hands!”
In 1994, two aimless friends join the Army Reserves for the paycheck, hoping it will bankroll their entrepreneurial dreams. Bones Conway (Pauly Shore) and Jack Kaufman (Andy Dick) barely finish basic training before they are sent to war as part of a water purification team. Daniel Petrie Jr. directs it as a broad, loud comedy built around Shore's surfer-slacker patter, with Esai Morales as their sergeant.
