In the Bedroom

“A young man. An older woman. Her ex-husband. Things are about to explode...”

Matt Fowler (Tom Wilkinson) is a doctor in his native Maine who wants a quiet summer and a son who finishes school. Frank (Nick Stahl) has other plans, and they involve Natalie Strout (Marisa Tomei), an older single mother. Todd Field watches Matt and his wife Ruth (Sissy Spacek) as the season ends, two people holding a household together by what they leave unsaid.
