In the Family

Joey Williams (Patrick Wang) is a father in Martin, Tennessee, raising six-year-old Chip (Sebastian Banes) with his partner Cody (Trevor St. John), and the three of them have a good life. Then Cody dies in a car accident, and his will names his sister as Chip's guardian. Patrick Wang, in his directorial debut, follows Joey through the quiet of a house with the boy gone, and a man with no legal claim to his own son.
