In the Fog

Sushenya (Vladimir Svirskiy) is a railway worker in occupied Belarus in 1942, and the Germans have spared him while hanging the men arrested beside him. His neighbors read that as proof he collaborated, and two partisans, Burov (Vladislav Abashin) and Voitik (Sergey Kolesov), come to take him into the forest. Sergei Loznitsa, adapting Vasil Bykaŭ's story, sets the walk through thick woods where the fog hides everything past a few steps.
