In the House

“There’s always a way to get in.”

Germain (Fabrice Luchini) is a literature teacher worn down by years of unreadable student essays, until one pupil, sixteen-year-old Claude (Ernst Umhauer), hands in a story about slipping into a classmate's house. Each new installment sends Germain back for the next. Claude keeps going into that house, and the people inside it, Germain's own life included, are what the writing puts at risk.
