In the Name of My Daughter
In Nice in 1976, Agnès Le Roux (Adèle Haenel) is the daughter of Renée (Catherine Deneuve), who owns the Palais de la Méditerranée. She falls in love with Maurice Agnelet (Guillaume Canet), a lawyer older than she is and close to her mother's business. André Téchiné builds the film from Renée Le Roux's own memoir, and he tells it in the plain, steady manner of a case file.
