“A comedy about getting in over your head.”

Aldolpho Rollo (Steve Buscemi) is a broke New York screenwriter, and his only possession of any value is a 500-page screenplay nobody will film. Then Joe (Seymour Cassel), an eccentric gangster, offers to put up the money, and Aldolpho lets him in. Alexandre Rockwell gives Aldolpho a shy, hangdog stubbornness that keeps him hoping the movie will get made.
