“A woman in trouble.”

Nikki Grace (Laura Dern), a Hollywood actress, wins the lead in a film that people on the set whisper is cursed. David Lynch wrote, shot, edited and scored it himself, and the picture slides from the production into other rooms, other lives and other versions of the woman on screen. As Nikki starts to take on the personality of the character she plays, she becomes harder to tell apart from her.
