“An adventure of incredible proportions.”

Jack Putter (Martin Short) is a nervous grocery clerk who checks his own pulse and avoids anything that might make it jump. Then a miniaturized test pilot, Lt. Tuck Pendleton (Dennis Quaid), is injected into his body by mistake, with only so much oxygen left in his pod. Joe Dante runs it as a chase through Jack's bloodstream and the streets above, with Meg Ryan as Lydia Maxwell, the ex-girlfriend Tuck needs found.
