“The story of what they did to a kid...”

Daisy Clover (Natalie Wood) is a tomboy who wants to sing, and she gets her chance when Hollywood notices her and turns her into a star. Robert Mulligan follows her into a studio world run by Raymond Swan (Christopher Plummer), where everyone around her has an idea of what she should be. Daisy stands in the glare of the lights, a girl in a costume, trying to hold on to her own voice.
