Inside Man

“It looked like the perfect bank robbery. But you can’t judge a crime by its cover.”

Detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) needs a clean win. The corruption charges hanging over him have made every day on the job feel like an audit, and then a masked gang walks into a Manhattan bank, locks the doors and takes hostages. Dalton Russell (Clive Owen) runs the room with a calm Frazier can't read, and Spike Lee puts the two men on either side of a negotiation where each is working out the other.
