Detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) needs to talk a bank robber out of his hostage situation on Wall Street. Dalton Russell (Clive Owen) has sealed the Manhattan Trust inside with dozens of people and a plan so airtight that nothing Frazier says seems to matter. What began as a standoff becomes a contest between two men who understand each other better than either expects.
