Joy (Amy Poehler) and her crew of core emotions have guided Riley through childhood, but now Riley is thirteen and her brain is under renovation. Anxiety (Maya Hawke) arrives first, eager and sharp-edged, crowding the control center as Riley navigates adolescence. By the end, the emotions sit together in the darkness of the theater, watching Riley move through the world they can no longer fully control, all of them changed.
