Insidious

“It's not the house that's haunted.”

Renai (Rose Byrne) and Josh Lambert (Patrick Wilson) want only for their son Dalton to wake up after he falls asleep one night and doesn't come back. The doctors find nothing wrong, while the house keeps producing sounds and presences no one can explain, until Josh's mother Lorraine (Barbara Hershey) calls in Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye). James Wan keeps the camera close on Dalton's bed, the hallway, and the dark just past the family's shoulders.
