Intergirl

Tanya Zaitseva (Elena Yakovleva) works as a nurse in a Leningrad hospital, and at night she works as an "intergirl," selling herself to foreigners who pay in hard currency. Pyotr Todorovskiy sets her story in the last years of perestroika, when the Soviet Union was opening to the world. Money, travel and a way out are all on offer, and every one of them has a price that a woman like Tanya pays herself.
