Intermezzo: A Love Story

Why does a famous violinist, with a wife and two children at home, start staying late to listen to his daughter's piano lessons? Holger Brandt (Leslie Howard) has noticed that the teacher, Anita Hoffman (Ingrid Bergman), plays the way he does, and he asks her to join him on tour. Gregory Ratoff builds the film on a plain, lasting idea: music can bring two people closer than their lives allow.
