“Life is what happens in between.”

A bad break-up between John (Cillian Murphy) and his girlfriend sets off a run of consequences that reaches the delinquents, the cops and the pretty good girls of one Dublin neighborhood. Lehiff (Colin Farrell) and Jerry Lynch (Colm Meaney) are only two of the people caught in it. John Crowley shoots it close and handheld like a documentary, and some scenes play as television programs inside the film.
