Interrogation

Tonia Dziwisz (Krystyna Janda), a cabaret singer in Stalinist Poland, spends one evening drinking with friends and wakes the next morning in a cell, charged as a political prisoner. Ryszard Bugajski follows her through years of questioning at the hands of Lieutenant Morawski (Adam Ferency), who wants her signature on a false confession. Nothing she has done matters to the people holding her, because the system only needs a name on the paper.
