Intimidation

A bank manager is being blackmailed over cooked books, and he can't say by whom. Nakaike (Kō Nishimura), his resentful underling, has just been passed over for a promotion and watches the manager's trouble from the next desk. Koreyoshi Kurahara builds the whole thing small and tight, with a plot that closes in on the two men a piece at a time.
