Into the Forest

“Hope is power”

The power goes out in the house where Nell (Elliot Page) and her sister Eva (Evan Rachel Wood) live, deep in a forest, and nothing comes back on. News reaches them only as rumor, carried by the few people still passing through. Patricia Rozema shoots the green woods and the dark rooms with a patient, close attention, keeping the camera near the sisters so the quiet feels like part of the house.
