Frank Raymond (Jon Hall) wants to keep his grandfather's invisibility formula out of Axis hands, and in 1942 that means using it on himself. Edwin L. Marin sends him into Nazi Germany as a spy, with Baron Ikito (Peter Lorre) and Conrad Stauffer (Cedric Hardwicke) among the men he has to get past. Inside the country, his only ally is Maria Sorenson (Ilona Massey), a fellow Allied agent who trusts a voice she cannot see.
