Iqbal

Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) cannot hear or speak, yet in a remote Indian village he is wholly consumed by cricket and a plan to bowl for the national team. Nobody around him can say how a boy with no voice means to get there, and the film starts from that question. Nagesh Kukunoor sets the dream against a family and a village that have little room for it, with a washed-up coach, Mohit (Naseeruddin Shah), as his only chance.
