Irezumi

Otsuya (Ayako Wakao), a rich merchant's daughter, runs away with Shinsuke (Akio Hasegawa), a clerk in her father's shop. On the road, the tattooist Seikichi (Gaku Yamamoto) sees her pale, unmarked skin and decides it is the canvas he has been waiting for. Yasuzō Masumura follows the large spider that Seikichi's needles set on her back, which now binds her to a man who is neither her lover nor her family.
