Cartographer Jonathan Green (Jason Flemyng) is sent to map the Far East territories of the Russian Empire, and the road keeps handing him things that belong on no chart. There are mysterious creatures, Chinese princesses, deadly masters of martial arts, and finally the King of Dragons himself. Oleg Stepchenko, who made the earlier Viy, fills the journey with fantasy as crowded and bright as a painted scroll.
